Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location was convenient, just a short drive from the beach and next to a nice restaurant, which was great. However, the room I stayed in was small and had issues like a worn-out mattress and a lack of basic amenities, which made for an uncomfortable stay. The staff could have been more welcoming, too.
I was hoping for a better experience at this motel. While the rooms are generally well-equipped and the beds were comfortable, the cleanliness could have been improved. The noise from outside and shared parking issues made our stay less enjoyable. For the price we paid, I expected more, and I definitely think we can find better options for a similar rate.
My recent stay at Drifters Reef was a mixed bag. While the room was adequately equipped and reasonably comfortable, I encountered a few issues that left me unimpressed. The location was a bit of a walk to the beach, and the noise from nearby events made it hard to enjoy a peaceful night. I would say you get what you pay for here, and I think I’d prefer to look elsewhere next time.
I was looking for a pet-friendly place to stay and Drifters Reef seemed like a reasonable choice. The rooms were equipped well and I found the beds surprisingly comfortable. However, the cleanliness could have been better, and the noise from a nearby wedding reception made it hard to enjoy our stay. The lack of staff presence also made me uneasy, especially when my husband could get a new key without any ID verification. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
The hotel has some significant issues that detracted from my stay, including a musty smell and outdated rooms. However, the daily housekeeping was a plus. Overall, I didn't find it to be a good choice for a relaxed visit to Carolina Beach.
